He is a senior researcher with more than 24 years of experience in R&D. He is scientific director and project coordinator within the Military Equipment and Technologies Research Agency – METRA. He obtained a M.S. degree in Military Engineering (1997) from the Military Technical Academy „Ferdinand I” of Bucharest (MTA).

He also obtained a PhD degree (2007) in engineering sciences, from MTA.
His research interests cover a large area of topics among them being Sensors, Command & Control, Autonomy and Software.

He is author and co-author of 4 books, over 20 scientific publications. He was involved in over 66 research grants. He is member in several EDA CapTech’s (The European Defence Agency, EDA) and NATO STO Panels, member in EDA’s Project Management Groups for several Cat. B projects.

Also, he is Associate Professor at Polytechnic University of Bucharest, University of Bucharest and Regional Department for Studies on Defence Resources Management: evaluator for R&D projects within competitions financed by Ministry of Research and European Defence Fund.
